Commercial applications of tabu search heuristics

This paper develops the use of meta-strategy (or meta-heuristic) concept for problems of real-time resource allocation and coordination. In particular, this work develops communication, coordination and problem-solving paradigms. The theme of solution maintenance used is of the problem-solving paradigm when the problem definition is changing overtime (due to external events). Through careful use of generic methods, mainly tabu search, this work present a major contribution to the creation of a more general decision support workbench and a scheme for applying heuristics
