Abstract
An adaptive processor for nulling of jammers in a satellite communications environment is described. The processor uses the outputs from a multiple beam antenna having seven elements to compute the weights for the linear combiner. The algorithm minimizes the squared magnitude of the output from the combiner subject to a constraint on the signal received from the known location of the user. For jammers noncoherent with the signal, performance improvements of 20 dB or more in the signal-to-jamming ratio were found in examples using this array processor
