Abstract
When assessing risk in IT project, due to the limited knowledge, bias of subjective awareness and the impacts of environmental stress, the assessors often give the incomplete or even missing assessment information. In the case, the conventional assessment method can not effectively evaluate the risk factors in IT projects. This paper presents a method for risk assessment based on evidential theory, which can well evaluate the risk level of the IT project in the absence of information provided by experts. A study about risk assessment in an ERP project is applied to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
