Abstract :
The market for engineering and technology-based courses, whether run in industry or in educational establishments is increasingly becoming modular and package based. As multi-media leisure culture continues to develop, teaching and learning methods that are entertaining as well as educating and informing are often favoured over those that are not. Audio and visual interactivity is important in the teaching and learning process, however it is vital that this communicative process enables the student to grasp fully the fundamental principles that are the learning outcomes of the tutorial. This paper discusses the packages generally available and focuses upon interactive packages, then on the development of learning tools for electrical and electronic engineering.
