Abstract :
Are asset structure and the operating performance of an enterprise correlated in one way or another and how to comprehensively evaluate the operating performance of an enterprise? To address these questions this study applies the Canonical Correlation method to analyze the financial data of 58 Listed Electric Power Companies in China in 2008 and finds that the two variables of asset structure and the operating performance are highly correlated with the asset structure being positively correlated with asset management in performance evaluation while being negatively correlated with revenue management and capital management.
