Abstract
Compared with other software systems, web applications have many differences in the testing process. In this paper, we discuss the process of beta testing for distributed software at first. Then, the model and algorithm of software beta testing are proposed, and the process of the algorithm and the key technologies to implement are analyzed. The practice proves that the adoption of distributed beta software testing can reduce the communication costs between the developers and users, discover and modify Bugs in the software and release the new version quickly, and thereby shorten the software development period.
