  • Abstract
    In this paper, a novel joint time-frequency synchronization algorithm was developed for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems based on fraction Fourier transform (FrFT-OFDM) in multipath fading channel. It can eliminate the ambiguity of the first arriving path estimation in multipath channels. And the digital synchronization structure implementation based on the proposed algorithm for FrFT-OFDM is also presented here, which can reduce the hardware resource by 46% compared with traditional structure. Results of simulation show that the proposed scheme can provide more precise CFO and TO estimation with less resource consumption.
