Abstract :
Load imbalance is a serious damage to an efficient cooperative network. To cope with this problem, firstly, a mathematical analysis of such imbalance problem from the point of view of relay selections in the cooperative communications is given. Secondly, a load balancing fuzzy scheme is proposed to distribute the load over the relays as uniformly as possible. The fuzzy scheme considers both instantaneous SNR over relay-destination link and relay load as two fuzzy variables and detailed algorithm is outlined. Finally, the performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated by simulation and compared with well known best relay selection.
