  • Abstract
    A quick transformation was achieved from CAD model to geometric model for finite element analysis through some operations on features (feature simplifying, inhibiting and deleting) on the base of feature identification of CAD model, by using UG/OPEN API and Visual C++6.0, on the platform of UGNX. Describe in detail the process of establishing geometric model for finite element analysis. Finally, an application case is employed and to illustrate that method is feasible and effective.
