Abstract
A wavelength division multiplexing architecture (WDMA) ring network with holographic wavelength-selective partial demultiplexers (WSPD) is proposed as an alternative approach to the conventional WDMA ring network using add-drop multiplexers. We analyze the power division problem in this network and propose an integrated waveguide with multiple phase gratings as a potential device to build the WSPD
