Abstract
With the increased number of electric/electronic devices introduced into vehicles, the coordination control work among various appliances is becoming more and more complicated. Consequently, the fault diagnosis of vehicular devices is also becoming more difficult. This paper proposes a fault diagnosis method based on electronic coordination mechanism. The basic design and implementation procedure is as following: 1) using electronic control unit to intelligentize each devices in vehicle; 2) building a distributed car network with CAN/LIN bus; 3) coordinating the basic functionality of all the in-vehicle electric devices through the central controller. On the basis of electronic coordination mechanism, the finite state flow model is developed to achieve the vehicle electrical devices´ fault diagnosis. Experimental results on the platform of vehicle electrical devices and simulation work on the CANoe demonstrate the validity of the scheme. Looking forward, the proposed approach can be used to increase the effectiveness of coordination work among vehicular devices and also simplify the fault diagnosis.
