Abstract :
A new CAD procedure for linear wideband microwave amplifiers is presented. It relies on the decomposition synthesis method (DSM) and allows the exact synthesis of matching/compensation/feedback networks directly from a simultaneous set of performance specifications, including the gain, gain flatness, noise figure, input/output matching, and stability. Using DSM-based software tools, several linear, low-noise and power ultrawide-band amplifiers have been designed and fabricated.
