Abstract :
The increasing of competition press makes many companies to outsource logistics business for reducing cost and improving logistics performance. But currently, most logistics services (called logistics product in this paper) do not break traditional physical distribute business model and do not explore more potential logistics value, so they can´t meet the demand of manufacturers in raising service satisfaction, supporting the business strategy and increasing their flexibility of manufacture. Logistics providers are facing the great challenge in logistics service innovation. This paper brings forward methods of logistics service innovation based on value propositions of customers. The methods can help logistics providers to find the value innovation points to match the value propositions of manufacturers and to conduct effective logistics innovation. This paper also shows logistics business outsourcing decision tools to help manufacturers to choose the suitable outsourcing mode and the excellent logistics provider.
