Abstract :
In this paper, a generalized theoretical model for the performance of an induction watthour meter under both sinusoidal and harmonic loading conditions is established. Theoretical predictions on the induction watthour meter performance are made based on this model. Various tests are then conducted on some induction watthour meters using accurate testing equipment. Comparisons between the test results and the theoretical predictions are made to verify the viability of the model established in this paper
