Analysis of Building the Flexible IT Strategy of Enterprises

Along with the progress of society, operational environment of enterprises has changed greatly. Enterprises have to transform their strategies of operation and have some flexibility in order to adapt the new requirements of market. Information technology brings some hopes for enterprises to improve their efficiency of business. This paper mainly studies the flexible IT strategy from three aspects. Firstly, this paper discusses flexibility of enterprises and reengineering of organization, and analyzes the efficient causes of flexibility of enterprises. Secondly, rigidity and flexibility of IT are analyzed in this paper, and we propose that modern enterprises should have some visibility and flexibility of strategy in order to adapt the demands of changes. Finally, this paper describes some viewpoints on choice of IT strategy based on the view-angle of flexibility, and discusses three flexibility granularity of IT strategies of enterprises.
