Abstract :
The authors have collaborated for some years in the joint presentation of short courses on electrically conductive adhesives (ECAs), with emphasis on theoretical concepts, properties modeling, processing, reliability, and applications. This material is being expanded into a one-semester graduate course, which has been offered initially this academic year at Chalmers University, with cooperation from Binghamton University. This paper reports on the initial course experience, and student feedback, and covers the authors´ plans to place revised course materials on the Internet. They will then be available to other instructors as a resource for the incorporation of instructional materials in this field into other courses, to JEEE-CPMT members for self-study purposes, and for the authors´ institutions to expand delivery of their on-campus courses to remote students. The Internet presentation will feature virtual field trips designed to demonstrate relevant industrial practice wherever possible
