Abstract :
This paper proposed an X-band compact conductive film radar reflector with inductance embedded in its branches. Multiple reflectors are assembled to act as a radar reflector tag for the use of the mobile traffic control recognition. The cross-polarization characteristics of the radar reflector are studied. The Radar Cross Section (RCS) characteristics with the tag on an automobile structure are simulated. The simulated results show that contrasting the same area of the metal plane, the proposed radar tag can significantly improve the cross-polarization RCS. And with the advantages of simple structure, small size and low-cost, the tag can improve radar´s detection and recognition to the automobile target.
