Abstract
LMS adaptive algorithm of second-order Volterra filter has a simple structure and a little computational complexity. For Volterra system is nonlinear ,the impact of nonlinear operations on the input signal results in that the date correlation matrix consists of higher order statistics and its eigen values spread. The convergence speed of Volterra filtering algorithm is very slow. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an adaptive algorithm of second-order Volterra filter using two lattice filters as pre-processors. This algorithm uses the orthogonalization property of backward prediction error which can weaken the nonuniform convergence behavior. Finally, computer simulation results illustrate that the proposed algorithm has the better performance than that of VLMS algorithm and GPV algorithm.
