Abstract
The Internet time-delay tests testify that the time-delay between two random nodes accords with Shift Gamma distribution, which comes to the conclusion that the kinds of the Shift Gamma distribution are limited. Moreover, each kind distribution corresponds to one time-delay on average. Through the method of fitting the sample probability density curve to estimate the parameters of the Shift Gamma distribution based on the time-delay tests and analysis to estimate the average Internet time-delay; Finally, demonstrated the reliability of the proposed time-delay estimating method through the Internet time-delay estimating experiments.
