Abstract :
A technique is presented for analyzing large and complex arrays with limited numerical effort, yet without accuracy reductions. The proposed approach combines two approaches introduced by the authors in previous papers. The Synthetic basis Function eXpansion approach generates few global basis functions on portions of the array, to be used as basis functions in the array analysis, with strong reduction in memory and solving time. The Dual-Isoscalar Multi-Resolution approach manages to generate "wavelet-like" vector functions for any meshed geometry, and well controls the MoM condition number. It is intrinsically multi-grid, a property exploited here to enhance the efficiency of the SFX scheme.
