Abstract
In Aditya tokamak, the plasma is stabilized in the torus shaped magnetic chamber by using toroidal and poloidal coils. The stability of the plasma depends on the density of the plasma, plasma confinement period and temperature of the plasma. So it is necessary to increase the confine the plasma for a longer time in a toroidal magnetic chamber. In this paper, ANFIS based plasma position controller is developed to predict the stabilization voltage from radial position and the plasma current. Of the various membership functions, Generalised Bell shaped membership function provides better prediction in terms of higher Signal to Noise Ratio.
