Abstract :
This paper shows two new methods for overcoming the problems caused by the phase noise in millimeterwave oscillators. With the help of these two here introduced techniques we could reach 7-10dB phase noise reduction. Besides the phase noise improvement, the other fact that gives significance to our approaches, is that these enable microwave designers to improve their previous designs without the need for the reconfiguration of their original RF designs. The validity of both of the presented techniques are proven also by calculations and measurements with significant improvement in the RF oscillators´ noise characteristics.
