Abstract :
This paper presents a channel estimation algorithm for flat-fading correlated MIMO systems with Uniform Linear Arrays (ULAs) configured on dual side by exploiting both pilot and data. In sparse multi-path components cases, Direction of Arrivals (DOAs), Direction of Departures (DODs) and path fading coefficients of propagation path can parameterize the channel matrix of flat-fading MIMO systems. By exploiting both pilot and transmitted data, the proposed method improves the performance for estimating DODs, and hence improves the channel estimation performance. Finally, computer simulations validate the proposed method.
