ITOHealth: A Multimodal Location-Based System for Discovering Medical Entities

The diversity of hospitals and medical specialists generates the dispersion or isolation of the medical information of those entities causing its difficult location. The location of medical entities is very useful for health care of people especially when the information of such entities is isolated and is necessary an information system in order to integrate all this information in a single unit for faster access to the benefit of specialists in health care and society in general. This paper proposes ITOHealth which is a multimodal system that provides the necessary mechanisms to record and manage the information from medical entities in a single Web site for easy location through two options: a PHP Web and J2ME application.
