Abstract :
The author develops a powerful method to estimate the interference generated by scattering. Scattered power is calculated by a bounding technique so that the numerical integration required by the conventional technique is avoided. The method is recursive and can be adopted to have different degrees of accuracy in the computation of interference. It can be used to check the accuracy of the computations and adjust the cells so that the desired accuracy can be obtained. The method is illustrated for flat earth, but it is conjectured that it can be extended to scattering by nonflat earth and the effects of shadowing, ground cover, and other structures
