            Abstract : 
Frequency translation circuits are key elements in communication systems. This paper presents a frequency balanced tripler for 12.6 GHz satellite communication systems, focusing on the advantages of substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology. The successful first iteration SIW balanced tripler achieved a state-of-the-art output power of 20.75 dBm and a conversion gain of 3.75 dB.
