Abstract :
In this paper is proposed a new blind channel estimation technique for orthogonal frequency-division multi-plexing (OFDM) communication over power-lines. The proposed technique is inspired on the self organizing and tracking features of the PSO populations. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is a bio-inspired and population-based technique that is used in this work for blind tracking of the power-line´s time-varying channel response impaired by impulsive noise. Numerical simulations for an indoor power-line show the potentiality of the proposed estimation procedure in noisy environments.
