Abstract :
A synthesizable version of a one-dimensional median filter is proposed. It is intended for real-time digital signal processing applications where a large number of samples must be averaged at a high operating frequency. Principle of design is presented, required resources and attainable performance are calculated, and some experimental results are shown.
