Abstract :
The stand-alone solar power system provides the necessary, simple and now cost effective solution for irrigation water pumping solution. This paper investigate the design a single-stage solar powered 5.0kw induction machine driven water pump system with boost and MPPT. The MPPT operation in single stage done by the quasi-Z source network and pump driven by the normal voltage source 3-phase inverter. The control of single stage inverter done by the two independent loop, the first loop control the MPPT using the shoot-through a-leg during zero state, and second loop control the 3-phase inverter and dc-bus voltage by PI controller. The simple V/F and space-vector PWM method use for the speed control of induction machine driven pump in second loop. The control algorithm is implemented digitally in TMS320F28035 microcontroller.
