            Abstract : 
Since services require different quality of service (QOS) an ATM switch must be capable of handling the requirements of different QOSs. In earlier studies, two-class priority schemes in a knockout switch (KS) and a group-output knockout switch (GKS) were introduced. In these priority schemes, the switches achieve very low cell loss probability of high-priority cells, even for arbitrarily large N, while the priority GKS achieves a much lower cell loss probability of high-priority cells than the priority KS, for the same cell loss probability of low-priority cells. We derive the cell loss probabilities of the priority switches and give some simulation results which agree with the analysis results for independent Bernoulli traffic. In addition, a reference parameter of the switch complexity is given to compare the switch utilization
