Abstract
An ortho-mode transducer (OMT) operating at 90 GHz, required for a polarimetric experiment on the cosmic background radiation, has been entirely designed at computer level. It has been manufactured by following a specifically developed procedure which allows building the OMT from a single metal block with acceptable mechanical tolerances. Measured and computed results show the component electrical response and confirm its suitability for the polarimetric experiment.
