Parameter adaptive control {Where is it at and what needs to be done next?}

Parameter adaptive control of uncertain linear systems has come a long way from its modest beginnings as an offshoot of parameter identification. Of the many adaptive architectures which have been studied over the years, one has emerged as pre-eminent in that it is able to deliver the same basic stability properties as one finds in non-adaptive linear feedback control. The properties to which we are referring are as follows.
