  • Abstract
    This paper presents a review of the development of IC design and prototyping deployment over the world with focus on opportunities, activities and results in Latin America. Historical evolution, main players and programs are discussed. On going activities and the number of IC tape-out through MPW services from the different countries in Latin America are analyzed.
