Abstract :
Long term simulation of the dynamic response of power systems has received much attention for several years. However, there are still numerous difficulties involved in reconstructing widespread disturbances. The authors describe the experience gained at the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) using long term simulation for the reconstruction of a system wide contingency for a period of 15 minutes
