Abstract :
In case of an ad hoc network, due to dynamically varying topology, a routing protocol should be aware of the lifetime of participating mobile devices. In this paper, we have proposed a routing protocol which is based on the awareness of lifetimes of the participating nodes. Further, we analyze the impact of node lifetime on multipath routing. In our analysis, we focus on the effects of the parameters such as number of hops in the primary path, average hop difference between multiple node-disjoint paths and the probability of survival of nodes.
