Abstract :
A novel design of coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed broadband circularly polarized printed antenna is presented. The antenna ground is slotted in rhombus shape. By adjusting the lengths and widths of two orthogonal stubs of different length embedded on the microstrip feeding-line, the proposed antenna excites two orthogonal resonant modes with equal amplitude and 900 phase difference for circular polarization (CP) radiation. An antenna was fabricated based on simulations and optimizations. The measured results show that the 3 dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth and the bandwidth with S11<;-10dB are 11.3% (270MHz) and 14.21% (338MHz) respectively.
