  • Abstract
Pattern recognition of sensor-array signals to identify odors is a standard style of an electronic nose. Although that method is effective to compensate for each insufficient selectivity of a sensor, a more sophisticated approach is required to extend the field of artificial odor sensing system. As active sensing is an important concept for realizing a sensing system with high capability, the concept was introduced into a chemical sensing system. Since we have developed quantification of mixture composition of aromas and odor-source localization system, these active odor sensing systems are described
