Abstract :
We experimentally demonstrated blind source separation of mixed chaotic laser signals by using ICA. We used two Nd:YVO4 microchip solid-state lasers with external modulation as chaotic signal sources. The injection current of a laser diode used for pumping was sinusoidally modulated to obtain chaotic oscillations at a frequency of 3 MHz. The two chaotic signals were independent because they were obtained from the two chaotic lasers with different initial conditions and parameter values.
