Abstract :
We propose several heuristics for marginal computing budget allocation in the context of the simulation-based design of discrete event dynamic systems by ordinal optimization. Building upon these heuristics, we introduce a sequential procedure for solving the computing budget allocation problem for ordinal optimization. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the sequential procedure by numerical examples
