Abstract
The paper deals with Magnetic NanoParticle Hyperthermia and aims at assessing the effectiveness of an optimization criterion for the choice of the exposure conditions and nanoparticle characteristics, recently proposed by some of the authors, in the more realistic case of electrically and thermally inhomogeneous tissues. Numerical results are reported, showing the effectiveness of the criterion in the case of spherical tumor embedded in multi-layered tissues of cylindrical shape.
