Abstract
Deals with stabilization of a class of nonlinear systems with a nonminimum-phase zero via backstepping. A state transform is introduced so that the system is minimum phase with respect to the transformed output that is not measurable. Backstepping design is applied to the transformed system based on an estimate of the transformed output to achieve the stabilization of the original system
