Abstract :
This paper proposes an axial-type magnetic-geared motor with permanent magnets only on the high-speed rotor. The operational principle and design technique utilizing the inherent overload protection are described. Finally, the torque-speed characteristics are computed by using 3-D finite element method analysis.
