Abstract :
A new design of a CMOS current-feedback operational amplifier with high-drive capability is presented. The amplifier, fabricated with a 1.2-μm CMOS technology, occupies 0.16 mm2 of area and dissipates 13.5 mW of dc power from a 5 V supply. It is able to drive a load resistance as low as 50 Ω with an output sinusoidal voltage of 2 Vpp and with a total harmonic distortion better than -60 dB at 10 kHz. Moreover, the worst-case open-loop gain and gain-bandwidth product is 70 dB and 6 MHz, respectively
