Abstract :
Sydney Electricity has been monitoring the condition of the insulation in 12 kV metal clad switchgear for some years and has refurbished a number of panels with cast epoxy resin bushings. The cost of testing every switchboard panel on the system is prohibitive. Therefore a plan of action is required to monitor typical examples, i.e. identical year of manufacture or similar load cycles etc. to produce a picture of the condition of the switchgear on the system
