Abstract :
A tutorially novel derivation provides the well-known condition on the periodicity of the sum of sinusoids. A simple algebraic substitution shows the requirement on the ratio of frequencies to be rational. Another easy result gives upper and lower bounds on the amplitude of a nonperiodic sum
