  • Abstract
    Applications for video communication support that individuals or organizations share video and voice in different places. However, most of existing applications are proprietary systems that lack generality. In this paper, we present a common framework which named VCF (Video Communication Framework) for these applications. The architecture of this framework is modular, and is based on the D-Bus inter-process communication solution. To evaluate this framework we designed a video conference system for attending conference over IPv4/IPv6. The architecture and experiments shows the good scalability and robustness of VCF in the video application development.
