  • Abstract
This paper presents the study of the assembly constraints of a multi-air gap linear motor. This motor was design and realized at the Institute of Electronics of the South in the Energy and Materials Group. This motor used in an application requiring several constraints to an aeronautical application, the performances is 5000 N/dm3 to constant tangential stress. The use of elements of very small sizes imposes a precision of realization or a correction of the parts allowing the respect of the performances. After to have described the multi-air gap motor, we made the study by finite element enabled us to show the disadvantages and the solutions for the use of the multi-air gap structure.
