Abstract :
Regional construction planning of civil engineering involved much content with different property and different character, and geographic variables and other data should also be used, such as vegetation, building, geology, road, pipeline etc. It should take large amount of personnel and energy to select and draw out the best scheme of regional construction planning in traditional way, especially in spatial topographic factors analysis and calculation. Furthermore, it was difficult to deal with spatial information and property information generally, efficiently in sustainable regional planning of civil engineering. In this paper, we make use of geographic information system (GIS) to handle spatial information in regional construction planning of civil engineering. A campus planning was investigated in the empirical studying. The data organization and general design principia were identified through the procession. The introduction plan of a campus construction and management GIS was put forward and then experimented through part of the function module and database of the system. The integrated regional construction planning system can help decision-makers and managers picking and analyzing spatial information and property information synchronously, and make scientific and sustainable decisions and schemes combined with planning policies and criterions.
