  • Abstract
An architecture for control and monitoring of discrete events systems is presented. This architecture is based first on a hierarchical structure of control and monitoring, second on the use of a database. This paper stresses on the problem of information flow in such an architecture. The control and monitoring efficiency relies on a suitable mechanism of inter level communications in the hierarchy. Moreover, the use of a database induces the need of several exchanges between the hierarchical structure of control and monitoring, and the database
