  • Abstract
    An open resonator system with an optimized design of the waveguide-to-cavity transition is proposed in this work for dielectric characterization. An equivalent circuit based on a complete modal characterization is exploited for the optimization of the coupling and the derivation of the complex permittivity of an inserted sample. K-band experimental validations are discussed.
